The President was told about the search and rescue work carried out by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan in Turkey. Boobek Azhikeyev said that 120 people were sent to the country to help those affected by the devastating earthquake. They included rescuers, doctors, cynologists and psychologists.
This is the first time in the history of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that Kyrgyz rescuers traveled outside the republic with such a mission.
The minister stressed that the team from Kyrgyzstan had done a great job. They were able to rescue eight people from the rubble, including children. Great assistance and support was provided by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey and compatriots living and studying there.
Sadyr Japarov thanked the rescuers for the work done to eliminate the consequences of the devastating earthquake in Turkey, calling their actions professional, well-coordinated and effective. He noted that the natural disaster that occurred in Turkey had devastating consequences, causing great damage to the fraternal state. This is a common grief that rallied everyone in the desire to help the people of Turkey.
The head of state instructed Boobek Azhikeyev to make proposals for rewarding those who distinguished themselves in search and rescue operations. He emphasized that this would be an incentive for others, they would strive to work even better and improve their professionalism.
In addition, Sadyr Japarov focused on the need for the Ministry of Emergency Situations to step up the work on the prevention of natural disasters typical of the spring-summer flood period. He noted the need to take prompt measures aimed at the maximum possible prevention of emergency situations.
