Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan intends to reform construction industry

A regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan was held. At least 12 issues on the agenda were considered. Press service of the Cabinet reported the details.

Members of the Cabinet considered the activities of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Communal Services. Akylbek Japarov instructed to submit a draft program to reform the construction industry, taking into account the seismological features of the territory of Kyrgyzstan.

Earlier in an interview, President Sadyr Japarov, commenting on the consequences of earthquakes in Turkey, said that all construction work would be completely under the control of the state.

He criticized the quality of high-rise buildings built over the past 10 years and recommended to trust in the God that high-rise buildings would not collapse in a possible earthquake.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers also recalled these words of the head of state, speaking about the need to reform the State Agency for Architecture and Construction. Then he moved on to foreign policy. Akylbek Japarov believes that it is necessary to carefully analyze where officials go at public expense, why and to what extent these foreign trips are needed.

«All trips outside the country must be coordinated with the Foreign Ministry. At the end of each trip, regardless of whether the trip was organized at the expense of the state or at the expense of the inviting party, it is necessary to provide a report on the results of the trip. This issue should be taken under strict control by the heads of departments,» the head of the Cabinet said.
