Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with Deputy Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Isobel Coleman. Press service of the Cabinet reported.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and USAID. They paid special attention to cooperation in the field of healthcare, agriculture, environmental protection, creative economy, and support for socially vulnerable segments of the population.
The head of the Cabinet noted that the state was taking practical measures to support low-income segments of the population. The project «Social assistance to low-income families on the basis of a social contract» is being implemented. Within its framework, low-income families are allocated 100,000 soms to start their own business.
Isobel Coleman expressed her readiness to contribute to the implementation of projects aimed at strengthening the health care, education and social security systems.
