Customs officers prevent smuggling of sweets from China to Kyrgyzstan

Officers of North-Eastern customs revealed smuggling of sweets. The amount of damage caused to the state exceeded 300,000 soms. Press service of the State Customs Service reported.

«The goods — dried mango, macadamia in the shell arrived from the People’s Republic of China on trucks of Volvo brand to the address of I.T. LLC. An undeclared product, sweets, was found in the truck during customs inspection. According to the conclusion of an expert of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, the average wholesale and market price of the undeclared product is 1,312,500 soms,» the statement says.

The vehicle and cargo were placed in safekeeping. The amount of damage caused to the state reached 318,252 soms. The materials have been sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office.
