Border guards detained smuggled naswar on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section of the state border. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan reported.
A truck moving from the Uzbek Chon-Gara enclave arrived at Burgondu border control post. During the inspection, the border patrol found 13 tons of naswar without documents.
In addition, border guards detained a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic who was trying to illegally drive 35 sheep and a horse from Tajikistan to Kyrgyzstan in Lager area of Leilek district, Batken region.
The detained citizens, livestock and contraband cargo were handed over to the employees of the competent authorities for further investigation.
