3.5 billion soms allocated for lending to agro-industrial complex

At least 3.5 billion soms were allocated for the provision of loans to farmers within the framework of Lending to Agro-Industrial Complex project. Press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.

«Of these, Aiyl Bank OJSC allocated 1.8 billion soms, RSK Bank OJSC — 1.7 billion. These funds are allocated to participants of cluster associations in the form of preferential credit funds with a term of three to five years with a final interest rate of 6 percent per annum for all categories with collateral and tax-free security,» the statement says.

The ministry recalled that work on the development of agricultural agro-industrial clusters is being carried out on nine socially significant agricultural products: meat, milk, vegetables, fruits, sugar, vegetable oil, potatoes, eggs and grain.

On the basis of the concluded agreements on the formation of clusters on a voluntary basis, cluster associations were additionally created in seven areas: fish, cotton, wool and leather, honey, legumes, nut crops (walnuts and other types of forest products), organic production.
