Level of air pollution in Bishkek is very unhealthy

Bishkek has been taking the first lines in the World Air Quality ranking in terms of air pollution for the fourth day in a row. The air quality index in the capital does not fall below «very unhealthy».

As of 10 a.m., the status of the city is marked as «hazardous». The air quality index, according to the website, is 327 (AQI).

The station, located on the territory of the U.S. Embassy in Kyrgyzstan, shows even a higher index — 476 (AQI).

The map of the Hydrometeorological Center shows that air pollution in many parts of the city has reached «hazardous» level.

The air quality index (AQI) is divided into six categories, indicating an increasing level of health hazard. The air quality index above 300 is dangerous, while air quality index below 50 is good.
