Director of the Department of Transport and Development of Road Infrastructure Maksat Nusuvaliev confirmed to 24.kg news agency the information about the arrival of the first batch of buses. «They still need to be cleared through customs, undergo other procedures, after which the transport will start serving its routes. 20 buses have arrived, the rest are still in Kazakhstan. There are difficult weather conditions, many roads are closed,» he added.
Recall, 1 billion soms were allocated from the city budget for the purchase of buses. The City Hall purchased them from Zhongtong Bus Hoiding Co. Ltd. It was reported that the transport will arrive in the country before the end of the year.
Other 124 buses purchased under the EBRD project should arrive at the beginning of 2023. A total of 250 units will be purchased through it. In addition, 120 electric buses will be purchased under the ADB project.
