COVID-19: Almost 73 million soms paid as compensation to health workers

The Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund (CMIF) paid 72,953 million soms as compensation for health damage to 737 medical workers, who worked in the emergency regime during the COVID-19 period. Press service of the ministry reported.

According to it, 242 doctors were paid 28,974.9 million soms, 363 nursing staff representatives — 33,337.8 million soms, 132 junior and other staff — 10,640.3 million soms.

In 2021, the CMIF paid 18,943.1 million soms to 253 medical workers.

«In total, from 2021 to 2022, the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund financed payment of compensation for harm caused to the life and health of 990 employees of healthcare organizations, involved in activities under the state of emergency and emergency situation, according to the submitted applications of healthcare organizations working in the Single Payer system, in the amount of 91,896.1 million soms,» the CMIF added.
