The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) put Emil Zhamgyrchiev, a deputy of the Parliament, on the wanted list. Press center of the state committee reported.
The security service recalled that on November 30, at a parliamentary meeting, a deputy Zhanar Akayev announced information about the alleged discovery of audio and video recording equipment in the house and in the car of the deputy Emil Zhamgyrchiev.
In this regard, the SCNS conducted an appropriate check of the fact. Zhanar Akayev, Emil Zhamgyrchiev’s assistant and other persons, who may have information on this incident, were interrogated.
The deputy himself was also repeatedly called to the SCNS to give explanations on the merits of the ongoing check, however, based on the results of the investigative actions and active search measures, it was not possible to establish his whereabouts and confirm the discovery of special equipment.
The data received by the SCNS give reason to believe that the MP Emil Zhamgyrchiev is not on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, who may have illegally crossed the state border of the republic and is currently on the territory of a foreign state.
In this regard, the SCNS asks those who have any information about the whereabouts of MP Emil Zhamgyrchiev to report to the duty unit by phone: +996312660475, +996312626504.
Emil Zhamgyrchiev was detained by the SCNS on November 27, then released. From that moment on, the deputy did not appear in Parliament. His colleagues reported that he allegedly fell ill.
On December 6, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a petition with the Supreme Court to cancel the acquittal of Emil Zhamgyrchiev.
