The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will develop a special project to improve the environment and air quality in Bishkek. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the United States reports.
It is specified that the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the USA, Bakyt Amanbaev, raised the issue of smog in Bishkek at a meeting with the Deputy Assistant Administrator at USAID Anjali Kaur. However, no details have been provided.
In December 2022, Bishkek has already topped the World Air Quality rating in terms of air pollution several times.
