It is planned to implement nine major public-private partnership projects in Kyrgyzstan in 2023. Sanzhar Bolotov, head of the PPP center, told reporters.
According to him, it is planned to build an alternative tunnel at Too-Ashuu pass. The cost of the project is estimated at $234 million. It is planned that it will be slightly lower and four-lane. But it will be a toll tunnel, so that the private partner can return the money spent.
The plans also include the reconstruction of the northern bypass road for $210 million. There is already a company interested in the project. After its implementation, a toll will be charged for travel on this section of the route. All details are being finalized now.
Together with the Ministry of Energy, it is planned to implement a project for the construction of a pilot solar power plant for $100 million and construction of Karakul small hydroelectric power station on Kara-Suu river for $25 million. There are plans to modernize the Mamakeev National Surgical Center for $10 million. According to it, the Russian company is ready to carry out work and supply modern equipment.
«Next year, we also plan to implement a project to reconstruct and modernize the production facilities of Kyrgyzteploenergo in Novopokrovka worth $1 million, build a Balalyk park in Bishkek for $2 million, a bypass road in Uzgen ($12 million) and reconstruct Semetey hotel in Bishkek and Intourist hotel in Talas for $5 million. There are already companies that are interested in implementation of the project on hotels,» Sanzhar Bolotov said.
