Astana (Kazakhstan) hosts the World Championship in Kazakh Kuresi (Kazakh national wrestling) on December 12-14. Qazaq kuresi Instagram association reports.
In the first two days of the competition, Nagira Sarbashova became the world champion in the weight category of over 75 kilograms, Jamalbek Asylbek uulu (up to 90 kilograms), Bekbolot Toktogonov (over 100 kilograms) and Meerim Momunova (up to 65 kilograms) took second places, Begai kyzy Beishenaaly (up to 55 kilograms) won a bronze medal.
Reportedly, 350 wrestlers from almost 40 countries participate in the tournament. Competitions are held in three age groups: adults, youth and juniors.
