Officers of the Service for Combating Extremism and Illegal Migration of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek detained 28 suspects for 11 months of 2022. Press service of the Bishkek police reported.
«At least 32 facts of production and distribution of extremist materials, creation and financing of an extremist organization, incitement of racial, ethnic, national, religious and interregional hatred were revealed. Criminal cases have been initiated under articles 330, 331, 332 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Some 28 citizens were detained, 6 of them were women. Four extremist cells have also been detected,» the statement says.
At least 18 searches were carried out at the places of residence of the suspects. 133 material evidence was confiscated: 34 books, brochures, magazines, 83 leaflets, 12 mobile phones, a computer, USB flash drives and other equipment. The criminal cases have been completed and sent to the courts for a decision.
