Mega company buys shares of Eurasian Savings Bank

Changes occurred in the list of holders of securities of Eurasian Savings Bank OJSC. Website of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange reports.

In particular, 1.4 million shares were transferred to Alfa Telecom CJSC (Mega trademark). Now the company holds 9.42 percent of the bank’s authorized capital. The cost of shares is 28,269.6 million soms.

The Kyrgyz Stock Exchange also reported that transactions with shares of the Eurasian Savings Bank took place on December 2. A total of five transactions took place at a share price of 21 soms per share.

In May 2022, the control block of shares of the bank was transferred from the State Property Management Fund to the Ministry of Digital Development. By the way, it was planned to hand over Alfa Telecom CJSC to the same department, but in the autumn of this year it was decided to privatize the company.

The bank is still under provisional administration. It will continue until the bank brings its authorized capital to the minimum legal requirement of 600 million soms.

Eurasian Savings Bank OJSC is former KyrgyzCreditBank.

It was renamed in April 2016. The conservation regime has been in effect since January 31, 2011 in connection with the initiation of a criminal case against shareholders and officials. After that, shareholders were changed, and the Prosecutor General’s Office confirmed absence of charges against them.
