More than 150 courtrooms in Kyrgyzstan are equipped with audio and video recording systems. Aiperi Zhakeyeva, an analyst at the information technology institution Adilet Sot under the Judicial Department, announced at a round table in Bishkek.
«For the first time, the function of audio and video recording appeared as a pilot project in the Bishkek City Court in 2018. In the summer of 2019, the equipment was installed in 77 halls of city and regional courts throughout the country. Introduction of the system continued in 2021. It showed itself well during the pandemic, when a portal for remote court hearings was created,» the specialist noted.
According to her, to date, the system has been installed and operates in 153 halls of 63 courts throughout the country. Its introduction is ongoing.
