Deputy Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Aibek Moldogaziev, took part in a meeting in European Union-Central Asia format, during which issues of development of cooperation in the field of trade, economy, investment, environmental protection, science and education were discussed. Press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The official voiced a proposal to open branches of European universities in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asian countries.
The parties also discussed security issues, including the current situation in Afghanistan, border management, combating terrorism and extremism.
The meeting participants confirmed the desire to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade and economic field to overcome the consequences of the coronavirus crisis. Specific measures and tools for increasing trade volumes, development of green economy, and attracting investment to Central Asia were considered.
