Kyrgyzstan exchanged the territory of Barak exclave. The head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, Kamchybek Tashiev, announced at a meeting of Parliament.
According to him, the territory of Barak is 208 hectares and belongs to Ak-Tash rural area of Kara-Suu district.
«We exchanged Barak for a land plot near Kara-Suu district. We received 208 hectares of irrigated land. Demarcation work will begin, people from Barak will move to Kyrgyzstan. We will pay compensation to the residents and build houses,» Kamchybek Tashiev said.
