The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan proposes to introduce standards for damage to irrigated lands and pastures. A draft resolution has been submitted for public discussion.
The document clarifies that the Code of Offenses of the Kyrgyz Republic provides for fines for damage to lands, but there are no standards for calculating the amount of damage caused.
The Prosecutor General’s Office instructed to make proposals. By order of the Ministry of Natural Resources, an interdepartmental working group was created to develop a procedure for calculating the amount of penalties for damage to land.
Thus, 896,000 soms will have to be paid for damage to one hectare of pastures in the fertile Chui region, for damage to pasture — 835,560 soms.
