The number of students in pedagogical areas of higher education has increased by 22 percent this year. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan, Nadira Dzhusupbekova, told at a press conference.
She recalled that the Cabinet of Ministers supported the idea of the Ministry of Education. The ministry proposed to motivate graduates with high Nationwide Testing scores to get pedagogical profession and pay study allowances to excellent students: in the 1st year — 1,000 soms, in the 2nd year — 2000 soms, in the 3rd year — 3,000 soms and in the 4th year — 4,000 soms.
«At least 1,918 grant places have been allocated for pedagogical areas of training for the 2022-2023 academic year. The threshold score of the main test of the Nationwide Testing is 115, while it is 110 points for all other areas. The total number of students admitted to study in pedagogical areas in the 2022-2023 academic year is 5,138 students, which is 22 percent more than in the 2021-2022 academic year,» Nadira Dzhusupbekova said.
The deputy minister added that the maximum score of the main test of the Nationwide Testing of applicants for pedagogical specialties is 219 points, and the average score is close to 180.
