Sadyr Japarov, during a working trip to Jalal-Abad region, visited Jalal-Abad Vegetable Oil Processing Plant LLC. Press service of the President reported.
The head of state was told about the activities of the enterprise for the production of vegetable oil and the results of work for the year. Repair and restoration of the plant began in the fall of 2021; it started working in March 2022.
From March to September 2022, the plant produced 900 tons of vegetable oil from imported raw materials.
The enterprise currently operates only at 40 percent of its capacity. The company plans to launch a cotton processing plant.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the plant has a high export potential, and paid special attention to the issue of using local raw materials in the production of vegetable oil, modernization of the plant and improving the quality of products. He stressed the importance of operation of such factories to ensure the country’s food security, so the state will support such enterprises.
The President instructed government agencies to help representatives of Jalal-Abad Vegetable Oil Processing Plant LLC to timely resolve issues regarding the operation and modernization of the enterprise.
