Oil production has begun at the Northern Sokh and Chongara-Galcha fields in Kyrgyzstan. The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.
According to the ministry, 20 wells are planned to be launched at the site by the end of this year.
It was previously reported that the construction of an oil refinery with a capacity of 500 tons per day is being completed in Kadamdzhai district of Batken region. At least 350-400 new jobs will be created with the start of oil production and processing. The total investment is $90 million.
