First domestic sports car KUNAN TAITORU presented in Bishkek

A unique development was presented in Bishkek — KUNAN TAITORU concept car. According to its developers, this is the first domestic sports car.

«The car was assembled by hand using various components on a platform of own production. We used a rear engine setup with a 300 horsepower Subaru Legacy engine. When assembling the body, hybrid materials were used — carbon fiber and plexiglass,» Meder Koilubaev, the author of the project, says.

It took six years to design and build the sports car. A team of eight people worked on it. The concept is based on national motives.

«This is a non-profit project, with the help of which we decided to show that nothing is impossible. This is a motivation for the younger generation of Kyrgyzstanis to strive for creation, not to be afraid to set challenging goals and objectives,» Meder Koilubaev emphasized.

The author of the project decided to keep secret the amount that the construction of the car cost. He also noted that he did not intend to sell it to anyone.

Meder Koilubaev admitted that faced difficulties in registration of the sports car. To register the car, the team studies the documentation. Previously, home-made cars of this class were not registered in the republic. After passing the necessary procedures, KUNAN TAITORU will be able to leave for a demonstration on the roads of the capital.
