President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov told about the merits, for which the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers — Chairman of the State Committee for National Security, Kamchybek Tashiev, was awarded the highest degree of distinction «Kyrgyz Respublikasynyn Baatyry» (Hero of the Kyrgyz Republic) with handing him the special badge «Ak Shumkar».
In his speech before the presentation of state awards, the head of state mentioned the events, without specifying which ones, but emphasized: «Kamchybek Tashiev is at the forefront of efforts to end the conflict and reconcile the two peoples.»
«I can say this as a person who saw it with my own eyes and participated in those events,» Sadyr Japarov added.
«During the years of independence, many changes and events have taken place in our country. Some of them threatened the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan. The enemies of Kyrgyzstan tried to sow enmity between the fraternal peoples, and this was accompanied by sad events. At a time when the country was on the verge of inevitable losses, brave people were at the forefront. They, risking their lives, stopped the incident and reconciled both sides,» said Sadyr Japarov, mentioning his colleague.
The President also highlighted the work of the Chairman of the State Committee for National Security on strengthening national security, strengthening borders and reforming law enforcement agencies.
«He is completing work that has been going on for a quarter of a century. The results are still kept secret. Everyone will know about them later,» the President added.
Sadyr Japarov is awarding distinguished Kyrgyzstanis at Ala-Archa state residence today.
