The PRC will extend opening hours of checkpoints at the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border by two hours from August to October 31, 2022. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen said at a meeting with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov.
China is also ready to increase the number of flights between the two countries. Only one flight is operated every two weeks now. It is planned to increase their number to three a week.
The Ambassador also noted that leading Chinese ophthalmologists are expected to visit Kyrgyzstan in October 2022. They are ready to perform 550 eye cataract surgeries for those in need free of charge as part of Health Express project.
The Kyrgyz side emphasized the importance of China as the main trade and economic partner and noted its readiness for further fruitful work in all priority areas of cooperation.
