Competitive selection of school principals will start from Batken region. The Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to the ministry, the selection will take place on August 11-12 at the Batken State University. There are currently 98 vacancies in the region.
Then the competitions will be held in all regions of the republic.
According to a presidential decree, principals of 966 schools must be replaced by the start of the new academic year, as they have been in office for more than five years. They continue to perform their duties until new principals are appointed. The competitive selection has been held in a pilot mode in two educational organizations of Talas region, six candidates out of seven failed to overcome the required threshold.
The Ministry of Education considers the introduction of restrictions to be correct, since the directors do not change for 20 or more years in some schools.
The ministry announced the start of acceptance of documents for the competition for vacant positions of school principals.
