Eleven employees of the Ministry of Culture deal with the development of tourism in Kyrgyzstan. The Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism Kiyal Kenzhematova told at a briefing in Bishkek.
«Policy in this area today is determined by the ministry. We have 11 people working for our department in the country. For comparison: in Uzbekistan, more than 100 people are working for the central office of a similar department alone and about 1,000 specialists across the country,» she said.
Kiyal Kenzhematova also noted that private entrepreneurs and tour operators in the regions often voice innovative and interesting ideas, but due to the small number of staff, they are not always implemented.
