Opening ceremony of the 7th International Cultural and Educational Forum Children of the Commonwealth was held in Cholpon-Ata city. Secretariat of the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Council reported.
Young leaders from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Uzbekistan marched with flags representing their countries. One of the days of the forum will be devoted to the culture and history of each of the states.
Its participants will discuss the rights and obligations of children, issues of ecology, international cooperation, security, culture, and tourism. The volunteering topic takes a special place in the program this year.
The first forum initiated by the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan was held in 2013 in Cholpon-Ata. In 2021, the Children of the Commonwealth Forum was held in St. Petersburg.
In total, more than 600 schoolchildren from nine CIS countries participated in the forum throughout its existence.
The forum is organized by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
