Intergovernmental consultations were held between the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. Press service of the Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The head of the Kyrgyz delegation, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce Kanat Abdrakhmanov, noted that Germany is one of the main development partners of the republic. Over 30 years of cooperation, the country has allocated more than €400 million to Kyrgyzstan for projects in the sectors of sustainable economic development and healthcare.
The head of the German delegation Dagmar Krenz told about the plans of the leadership of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany to continue cooperation through European, multilateral, regional and non-governmental instruments.
«The German side positively assessed the consistent activities and progress achieved in the transition to a green economy. The increasing active participation of the private sector and constructive cooperation with state participants in the course of implementation of the green economy development program were noted. The parties discussed current issues of jointly implemented projects in the field of healthcare and sustainable economic development,» the statement says.
The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic announced promotion of the project «Protection of motherhood and childhood». It provides for improvement of the infrastructure of perinatal centers, provision of medical and non-medical equipment to reduce maternal and child mortality. The ministry declared its readiness to make every effort to complete projects in this sector.
During the consultations, the parties discussed projects in the field of green economy and sustainable development, education, housing construction financing, value chains in agriculture and regional development.
