Alymkadyr Beishenaliev takes part in the World Health Assembly. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reports.
According to it, its the 75th session began on May 22 in Geneva. It is attended by delegations from all member states of the World Health Organization, including Kyrgyzstan.
A number of health system issues are on the agenda: achieving universal coverage, measures to prevent noncommunicable diseases, ensuring effective protection in case of emergencies, improving health and well-being, including global strategies and action plans.
The official also took part in #WalkTheTalk #HealthForAll #Sport4Health initiative. The march brought together hundreds of people in Geneva to promote healthy habits.
«The race was organized to promote the principles «Health for All» and «Sport for Health». Running, walking, and cycling play a significant role in maintaining health: reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes, and some forms of cancer, as well as help to control body weight and improve mental well-being. Exercises also increase opportunities for social interaction and involvement of people in the life of the local community,» the ministry noted.
During the visit, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev will meet with the heads of delegations of a number of WHO member states.
The World Health Assembly is the highest decision-making body of WHO.
