The Bishkek City Hall plans to extend the moratorium on the provision of land for rent in the center of the capital. It was announced at a meeting of the standing commission on municipal property.
As its chairman, Asylbek Akylbekov, noted, the deputies of the City Council generally support the proposal, but they believe that it is necessary to reduce the number of streets covered by the moratorium.
«Let’s revise the list again, leave the central streets, the government highway,» he said.
The moratorium on granting lease rights to land plots for various objects was imposed in December 2009. The last time it was extended in 2019 for three years.
