Deputy Chairman of Cabinet visits 99-year-old WWII veteran Asek Urmanbetov

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Arzybek Kozhoshev visited a veteran of the Great Patriotic War Asek Urmanbetov, who was drafted into the Soviet Army in 1943. Press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

The official reminded that the President Sadyr Japarov signed an order to allocate 10,807 million soms to provide one-time material assistance in the amount of 100,000 to each war veteran.

«We are proud of our ancestors, who made an invaluable contribution to the victory over fascism, they will always be an example for us to follow. My grandfather, who served near Kharkov during the Great Patriotic War, told us the stories of the exploits of his colleagues and was a living legend for us. You have shown by your example the fortitude of the spirit and the unity of the people. Thank you for the Great Victory!» Arzybek Kozhoshev said.

Asek Urmanbetov, veteran of the Great Patriotic War, is now 99 years old. He was awarded the Order of the Red Star and the Order of the Patriotic War of the 1st degree, commemorative medals on the occasion of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
