Kyrgyzstan and the international company AVC Global signed a memorandum of cooperation. Kyrgyzindustriya OJSC informed 24.kg news agency.
The purpose of the document is cooperation in the implementation of a project in the field of storage and warehousing of goods, modernization of customs clearance and GS1 tracking.
«The memorandum will serve as the beginning of partnership between the parties in modernizing the customs clearance system of Kyrgyzstan, which will directly increase the collection of VAT and duties, as well as ensure economic growth through improvement of the effectiveness and creation of new jobs,» the statement says.
According to the company, this will ensure transparency of the procedures for import/export of products in Kyrgyzstan, and will exclude the transportation of counterfeit goods in transit through the country.
