Consumer price index for goods and services in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in March compared to February reached 6.9 percent, to December 2021 — 9.2 percent. The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported.
In contrast to December 2021, there was a significant increase in prices of non-food products (by 11.4 percent) and food products (by 9.5 percent) in the EAEU. The cost of paid services during this period increased by 5.6 percent.
Growth of prices for food products was higher than the average across the EAEU in Russia (by 10 percent). At the same time, non-food products and paid services went up the most in Russia and Belarus.
Since the beginning of 2022, prices have increased by 5 percent in Kyrgyzstan.
