The State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) issued a statement in connection with the distribution of advertising publications and messages by organizations for the rental of carnival costumes of military uniforms and costumes with Z symbol on the occasion of the celebration of May 9 (Victory Day) on social media.
«National security agencies call on carnival costume rental organizations not to rent military uniforms and costumes with Z symbol that contribute to inciting ethnic hatred, as well as citizens not to wear the specified uniform in the Immortal Regiment procession, which will be held on May 9 on the occasion of the Victory Day. The State Committee for National Security warns of the responsibility provided for by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic for actions aimed at inciting ethnic hatred,» the statement says.
Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense clarified that the Latin letter Z on Russian military equipment, which is on a special operation in Ukraine, means «For the victory», and the letter V means «Strength in truth» and «The task will be completed.»
