Extremist materials confiscated from resident of Talas region

Extremist materials were confiscated from a resident of Talas region. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region reported.

Dozens of magazines and propaganda materials of an extremist organization were found in the house of the 60-year-old man. According to a comprehensive forensic-linguistic and religious expertise, the materials promote Hizb ut-Tahrir organization.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 332 «Production and distribution of extremist materials» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspected man was previously convicted and has been registered as a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami extremist organization since 2015.
