The Interior Ministry of Russia, against the background of the reduction of inspections, revealed more violations among foreigners and migrant workers for two months of 2022 than a year earlier. TASS reports citing the law enforcement agency.
In particular, the number of violations of the rules of entry into the country and the regime of stay increased by more than 114 percent.
«Despite the reduction in the intensity of inspection measures, information on administrative practices received from the territorial bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation shows an increase in their effectiveness in terms of detection of illegal migrants and persons illegally carrying out labor activities in the Russian Federation,» the report says.
According to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, in January-February of the current year 55,700 administrative protocols were drawn up in respect of foreigners for violation of entry rules or stay (residence) regime, and it is 114,2 percent more than last year (26,000).
In addition, the number of facts of illegal employment and non-compliance with the established restrictions on certain activities of foreigners increased by almost 22 and 88 percent, respectively. If for two months of last year these figures were 5,500 and 692, in January-February 2022 — 6,700 and 1,300, respectively.
