As a result of the incident on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border, a total of six victims turned for medical assistance. Press center of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Three of them were sent for outpatient treatment.
Three victims are still in the Surgical Department of the Leilek General Medical Practice Center.
- E.M., 23, (serviceman) with a gunshot wound to the middle third of the thigh, perineum and foot. Condition of moderate severity;
- O.Z, 30, with a gunshot wound to the popliteal region on the right. Condition of moderate severity;
- B.T., 50, with a gunshot tangential wound to the gluteal region on the right. Condition is satisfactory.
«Medications and medical products are available in sufficient quantities at the Leilek center. The medical staff is working hard. In addition, the center’s specialists advise and provide medical assistance to evacuated residents, mostly women and children. About 150 people were examined,» the Ministry of Health noted.
Another shootout occurred yesterday night on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border. The border guards of the Republic of Tajikistan opened fire on the servicemen of the Kyrgyz Republic at about 9.17 p.m. during a meeting of border representatives of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, who arrived at the scene of the incident as a reinforcement. After midnight, the parties agreed to withdraw additional forces to the points of their permanent deployment.
