The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Russia commented on the report that Kyrgyzstanis attacked other migrants and robbed them in St. Petersburg.
According to the diplomatic mission, two compatriots were detained on April 11 in Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg. They are suspected of committing a crime under Article 162 «Robbery» of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation believes that they, together with a group of people, committed a robbery attack on their countrymen, took away their mobile phones and money.
To clarify all the circumstances of the case and receive an official notification, the embassy office sent official requests to the Investigation Department for Vyborgsky District of the Main Investigation Directorate for the city of St. Petersburg.
It was reported earlier that seven men, threatening with a knife, took away two smartphones and car keys from the victims. Then they were forced to withdraw 60,000 rubles from their bank cards. Then the offenders fled the scene of the incident.
