The Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan will pay unemployment benefits to the citizens from the accumulated pension amount. The Deputy Head of the Social Fund of Kyrgyzstan Gulnura Zhumataeva at the parliamentary hearings on the issues of reform of the pension system and the draft concept of the mandatory health insurance for 2023-2026.
According to her, several changes were made to the mechanism of early payment of money from the provident pension fund.
«Previously, we paid money only in three cases: retirement age, moving to another country and in case of death. The accumulated amount now can be obtained for getting a mortgage loan and for cancer surgery. In addition, if a citizen is temporarily unemployed, we intend to pay them a benefit from the accumulated amount. Unemployment benefit in our country is 300 soms, we will pay 7,000 soms for three months,» Gulnura Zhumataeva said.
