The President of Kyrgyzstan reported on increase in wages of state employees today at the republican meeting of social sphere workers.
Sadyr Japarov informed that the salaries of cultural workers were increased by almost 100 percent.
«If earlier the salary of a head librarian of Alamedin district library was 10,875 soms, now, since April 1, the salary was increased twice — up to 21,845 soms. Senior researcher at the Naryn regional historical and ethnographic museum now earns 33,222 soms. This is compared to the previously received 17,550 soms. In addition to the salary, additional premiums for work in the highlands are fully retained. An actor at the Osh Academic Theater named after Babur will receive 28,239 soms instead of the previous 17,700 soms. The head librarian at the Republican Children’s Library named after Bayalinov received 9,000 soms before the increase, and starting from April 1, she will receive 20,444 soms,» he said.
Sadyr Japarov also mentioned employees of the Labour and Social Protection Ministry, whose salaries are doubled on average. He personally addressed some of them.
«First of all, I would like to especially mention Olga Ivanovna Nikolayeva, an employee of the republican prosthetic and orthopedic establishment, who is present here. I had the honor of congratulating her on March 8 holiday. At that time, on behalf of all the workers of your factory, you asked for a salary increase. I am very pleased to inform you that the Cabinet has decided to double your salary. For example, one of your colleagues with 14 years of experience — shoemaker, he is disabled, received a salary of about 18,000 soms per month, and from April he will get 36,000 soms,» the president said.
According to him, with the increase of salaries, all payments for categories will be preserved.
«The payroll has increased by an average of 50 percent for health workers. For example, a family doctor at the Family Medicine Group No. 15 in Suzak district with 32 years of experience used to receive 17,500 soms, now he will receive 25,718 soms. A nurse at the Issyk-Kul Regional Hospital with 14 years of experience was paid 11,000 soms before April 1, and this month she will receive 17,248 soms,» Sadyr Japarov said.
He added that work is underway to reform the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund. According to him, the Cabinet is waiting for decisive measures to make the system of remuneration of health workers transparent and decent.
