According to the ministry, Bishkek hosted a presentation of research to assess the needs of women and girls with disabilities in access to reproductive health services and gender-based violence.
About 300 women with disabilities over 18 participated in the survey.

More than a third feel they have no right to decide whether to have a romantic or sexual relationship with a person or not. One-fifth of the respondents cannot independently make a decision on marriage (23 percent), divorce (22 percent), or their own fertility (having or not having children — 21 percent).
