President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Kyrgyzstan in May. It was announced at the meeting of the Speaker of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Talant Mamytov with the Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Maulen Ashimbaev in Almaty city.
The meeting was held within the framework of the session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the organization.
According to the press service of the Parliament, Talant Mamytov noted the high level of cooperation between the two fraternal peoples. «We are united not only by ties of friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness, but also by strategic partnership,» he said.
The Speaker added that bilateral events are planned this year at the highest and high levels, one of the main ones is the visit of the leader of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Kyrgyzstan in May. «I am sure that this visit will give an additional impetus to the development of bilateral cooperation,» he stressed.
Talant Mamytov invited Maulen Ashimbaev to also pay an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
The official delegation of Kyrgyzstan’s Parliament includes deputies Daniyar Tolonov, Iskender Matraimov, Aida Isatbek kyzy and Nurbek Alimbekov.
