Countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will receive quotas from Russia for the purchase of grain from the Russian Federation. The Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Eldar Alisherov announced today at a briefing.
According to him, each state must submit production-consumption balances by March 25, 2022. They will be a basis for the formation of quotas for each country.
«We must provide information on our balance before March 25. The only country in the EAEU that does not purchase grain is Kazakhstan. They provide themselves with this product. Other countries have expressed a desire to buy. We do not see any problems, the issue is almost resolved,» Eldar Alisherov believes.
The Russian government banned export of grain crops from its territory until August 31, 2022. The ban applies to wheat and meslin, rye, barley and corn.
