A former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the rank of colonel was detained in Talas region of Kyrgyzstan for patronage of drug dealers. Press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
«Two citizens, who tried to transport 11.5 kilograms of drugs into the territory of a neighboring state, had previously been prosecuted. Later, a third defendant in the case, a citizen of Kyrgyzstan, was identified and detained, who had previously managed to escape from the crime scene. Their patron, retired police colonel was also detained during an authorized search in his house, where drugs were also found,» the statement says.
