Policemen detained a resident of Tyup district while transporting drugs in Issyk-Kul region. Press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region reported.
«Officers of the State Service on Drug Control received information that a resident of one of the villages in Tyup district stores narcotic substances at home. The suspect has been identified as a 38-year-old resident of Tasma village,» the statement says.
The suspect was caught red-handed while trying to transport drugs. During a personal search, 21 briquettes with a specific smell of wild-growing hemp were found and seized from him. The drugs were packed in matchboxes. The total weight of the seized reached 285 grams.
The Karakol City Court arrested the man for two months.
