Illegally stored weapons seized from two residents in Leilek district

Illegally stored weapons were confiscated from two residents in Leilek district. The Department of Internal Affairs of Batken region reported.

According to it, the police received information that a 47-year-old local resident has a firearm and eight cartridges in his house. The resident could not present any permits for their storage to law enforcement officers.

A criminal case has been initiated under Article 267 «Illegal circulation of weapons, ammunition» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

An illegal firearm and two cartridges were also found in the house of another resident of the district.
