The Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev cannot manage doctors. Almazbek Ismankulov, Professor and head of a clinic, said at a press conference at 24.kg news agency.
He noted that every minister’s activity starts with reorganization. «But it turned into some kind of show in medicine. It’s, probably, some kind of incomplete ability to work. He did not read the Constitution well, which says that the state is governed by the rule of law. When the minister says he won’t wait for a court decision and will come and throw everything away, smash everything... Everything must be in accordance with the law,» Almazbek Ismankulov said.
He noted that the clinic continues to operate. «It is written on the Internet that we have closed. We work as before. Patients are being treated and operations are performed,» Almazbek Ismankulov noted.
He added that everything must be solved in a legal order. «We need to discuss how the work will be carried out. We can’t just leave and disfigure the building. This is a state building, not ours, and we will talk with the Bishkek City Hall,» the professor stressed.
He stated that the medical environment is a closed society. «There are its own authorities. There are those who are respected and those who are not. Besides, there is the Hippocratic Oath. Even without it, how can you scold an old man and address an elder like that? It is simply unbearable. Such a minister can’t run such a complicated sphere,» Almazbek Ismankulov said.
He explained that the names of Sabyrbek Dzhumabekov and Ernst Akramov are familiar to many Kyrgyz citizens. «And who knew the minister’s name before he was appointed?» Almazbek Ismankulov replied when asked about Alymkadyr Beishenaliev’s authority.
Earlier the Minister of Health announced that he had closed the Ernst Akramov Scientific Centre for Reconstructive Surgery in the Chui Regional Hospital. He noted that he had appointed a new chief physician.
Prior to this, by his order on February 4, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev transformed the Bishkek Research Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics into an Emergency Clinical Hospital. Its director Sabyrbek Dzhumabekov was relieved of his post, the post of director was abolished, the head physician will be in charge of the hospital.
In mid-February, it became known that the Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev instructed the management of hospital No. 2 to prepare beds for treatment of patients with coronavirus in the building where the Ismankulov’s Eye Microsurgery Clinic is located, and to resume admission of patients in the main building.
