The authorities of Cuba, Venezuela, Sri Lanka, Argentina and Kyrgyzstan have officially promised not to detain Russian planes. ATOR reports, citing sources in the Federal Air Transport Agency.
According to its data, despite the absence of risks of arrests, the carriers do not hurry to operate flights to these countries.
According to the representatives of the airline industry, such information has «little practical usefulness» against the background of the crisis and impossibility to use the fleet to the full extent in foreign countries.
However, the carriers do not rule out that flights to these countries would be operated in the future, but only after negotiations with lessors are completed and the issue of re-registration of aircraft is resolved.
