The General Directorate of Bishkek Free Economic Zone (FEZ) hosted a work meeting to discuss problems that the manufacturers are facing. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The Minister of Economy and Commerce Daniyar Amangeldiev and representatives of the Tax and Customs Services as well as the Association of Investors of FEZ participated in the meeting.
The officials were informed about the situation at the Bishkek FEZ.
«On the instructions of the country’s leadership, measures will be implemented to improve conditions for the subjects of the FEZ. In the near future, a concept for development of free economic zones will be drawn up and adopted. Monitoring of the activities of the management of the General Directorate of Bishkek FEZ will be carried out on an ongoing basis. At the same time, business representatives voiced their proposals for amending the law on free economic zones. The minister paid close attention to the problems of the free economic zones, voicing the need to create favorable conditions for business, as well as to improve management,» the statement says.
